Privacy policy

Status Sign Up (statussignup.com) is made by YH Creative Inc. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it.

If you sign up on someone’s page

We collect the name and phone number you enter. We give them to the owner of that page: they appear in the owner’s sign up list, and are added to the owner’s Google Contacts if the owner connected them. We also keep a one-way scrambled code made from your internet address, only to limit how many sign ups one device can make. We never store the address itself.

To be removed, ask the page owner, or email us at yisroel@happymondays.io. Removing the owner’s contact from your own phone stops you seeing their Status.

If you make a page

You sign in with Google or with a link we email you. With Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo, and permission to add contacts to your Google Contacts. With email, we receive only your email address. We store the details you enter for your page (link, name, one line, WhatsApp number and country) and your sign up list. Your page’s name, photo, one line and WhatsApp number are public: that’s what visitors see and what they save.

If you connect Google, we keep the key Google gives us encrypted, and use it only to create a “Status Sign Up” contact group, read the phone numbers already in your contacts so we don’t add duplicates, add the people who sign up on your page, and remove a person when you delete them from your list. We don’t read, copy or keep anything else in your contacts.

Status Sign Up’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell data, show ads, or use your data or your contacts to train AI models. We don’t connect to WhatsApp. Status Sign Up isn’t affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

Where it’s stored

Data is stored with Supabase (database) and served by Vercel (hosting), both in the United States.

Deleting your data

Owners can delete any sign up, or their whole account, from the dashboard. Deleting an account removes the page, the sign up list and the stored Google key, and tells Google to cancel our access. Contacts already added to your phone stay there.
